HSA

Until the laws change, Dr. Hartman and all non-medical, holistic, wellness, natural medicine places etc. cannot legally take HSA for non-medical services, appointments or treatments. See below:

Individual coverage health savings account reimbursement:

IRS Publication 502 – Eligible expenses must be primarily for medical care.

This includes:

• Doctor visits, hospital care, prescription medications
• Dental and vision care
• Medical equipment and supplies
• Certain rehabilitation and preventive care services medically prescribed (PT, OT etc)

This does not include:

• General wellness services without a medical purpose
• Non-medical appointments, services, and treatments
• Cosmetic procedures (unless medically necessary)
• Services that are purely for comfort or general health and wellness

Unfortunately at this time, Dr. Hartman and all non medical- natural, holistic, wellness,  functional, naturopathic, etc. places cannot accept HSA.

For more information contact your HSA provider, email HSA or the IRS. This also includes insurance as well due to several things that are not covered by insurance that many of the non-medical places use.
