Oncology Massage: (60-65 min) $70
Focuses on the use of touch techniques to provide comfort and ameliorate the side effects of conventional cancer treatment. Provide the most recent research, techniques, medical terminology and procedures used. Medical oncology goals focus on the side effects and typical aliments of conventional methods for all cancers, including the reactions of chemotherapy, radiation and surgery and how the use of bodywork techniques can help with nausea, pain, fatigue, depression, anxiety; and how the use of bodywork strengthen the body during and after these treatments. Performed in localized areas, full session or seated massage and the adjustment of massage techniques according to the treatment and type of cancer the patient is undergoing, while working with their oncology doctor(s).
Dr. Hartman learned this type of therapy due to her dad going through cancer and treatments. She’s been trained to work around ports too. She is a licensed massage therapist (#MT20900063).
